The Monroe Dragons''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past Santiam with points to spare, taking the game 48-32. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Santiam's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Wyatt Dayton, who rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Dayton's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards. Esai Romero was in the mix as well, providing Santiam with two touchdowns.
Monroe now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Santiam, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Monroe will look to defend their home field on Friday against Central Linn at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Central Linn is ranked 51st, while Monroe is ranked 56th). Santiam does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
