It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Ubly Bearcats had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against Ithaca as Ubly made off with a 41-20 win. The win was just business as usual for Ubly, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Ithaca's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jackson Conn, who threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Noah Risner, who picked up 75 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Ubly's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.54 points. As for Ithaca, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-1.
Ubly will play host again and welcome Beal City, where kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Beal City will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Ithaca does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
