On Thursday, Fouke earned a 37-28 victory over CHAAMP HomeSchool. Given Fouke's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 142nd in Arkansas, while CHAAMP HomeSchool is ranked 699th in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, CHAAMP HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Drew Wigley, who scored 11 points. Wigley scored a full 39.3% of CHAAMP HomeSchool's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was David Harrison, who scored 5 points along with 10 rebounds.
Fouke's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for CHAAMP HomeSchool, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Fouke will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bismarck at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. CHAAMP HomeSchool's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cumby at 11:00 a.m. on December 8th.
