Concord has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Quincy Orioles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Concord's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
Concord scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Maple Valley 92-9 at home. Concord has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.
Concord can attribute much of their success to Bradie Lehman, who scored 24 points along with six steals and five assists, and Cieara Barrett, who almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, nine assists, and nine steals. Barrett is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Thorrez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Quincy earned a 46-33 victory over the Panthers on Monday.
Concord's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Quincy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-10.
Concord strolled past the Orioles when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 54-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Concord since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
