The Franklinville Panthers can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by Cattaraugus-Little Valley on the road to the tune of 57-28. While fans of Franklinville might be used to big wins, the 29-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dj Szata, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Young, who scored four points.
The win was the fourth in a row for Franklinville, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Cattaraugus-Little Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklinville is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Ellicottville at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. One thing working in Ellicottville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. As for Cattaraugus-Little Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Pine Valley Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Cattaraugus-Little Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
