The Castro Valley Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Castro Valley will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Castro Valley proved they can win big on Friday (they won by six) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Alameda 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since March 25th.

Alanys Robertson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Castro Valley's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alicya Robertson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.
Bishop O'Dowd came out on top against Encinal on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Dragons were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Jets. Considering the Dragons have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Bishop O'Dowd also got a great performance from Emma Brown as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Jaella Mercado was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Ziggy Savage was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
Castro Valley's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Bishop O'Dowd, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Castro Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .374. However, it's not like Bishop O'Dowd struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Castro Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop O'Dowd in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
