Hamilton Heights got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jackson Mikesell out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. Mikesell continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rees Knapp, who went 9-for-16 en route to 20 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Tipton came up short against Kokomo on Saturday and fell 60-50. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Wildkats are ranked 82nd).
Hamilton Heights will need to focus on slowing down Peyton Auler, one of several Tipton players who made an impact when they last played. He shot 44% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. The matchup was Auler's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Grayson McFalls, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hamilton Heights has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 22.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Tipton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 29.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Hamilton Heights won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, slipping by Tipton 55-54. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
