Waubonsie Valley extended the longest winning streak in Upstate Eight - Valley this week by beating South Elgin, 35-20. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Warriors.
The Storm made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,375 from 3,603. The improvement was the result of 35-20 victory over South Elgin last week.
On the ground, Bartlett's Aaron Everson has rushed for 955 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Everson. The Bartlett star has three catches for 21 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Neuqua Valley and Waubonsie Valley. The Wildcats comes into the matchup ranked 11th in the state, while Paul Murphy's team ranks sixth.
The Hawks' Everson is a mere 45 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Neuqua Valley takes on the Warriors. Bill Ellinghaus's team has allowed 100 points this season, while Waubonsie Valley has given up 90. The Wildcats allowed 32 points last week as they defeated Metea Valley.
