It was a good run, but the Austintown-Fitch Falcons unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 57-47 to Linsly.
Austintown-Fitch lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Allen Hill jr, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. The game was Hill jr's third in a row with at least ten points. Deshawn Vaughn was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Austintown-Fitch's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1. As for Linsly, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austintown-Fitch will challenge Mayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Linsly, they will head out on the road to face off against Harrison Central at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
