Ridgeline is 0-4 against the Wildcats since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ridgeline Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Mt. Spokane Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Ridgeline has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,164 points over their last 18 games.
Last Tuesday, Ridgeline faced the Bullpups in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ridgeline took a 71-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bullpups. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ridgeline in their matchups with the Bullpups: they've now lost six in a row.
Ridgeline's loss came about despite a quality game from Wyatt Cline, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Easton Amend, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Mt. Spokane's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 79-54 walloping at the hands of University. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Mt. Spokane came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Titans are ranked 56th).
Ridgeline's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Mt. Spokane, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-3.
Ridgeline might still be hurting after the 79-55 loss they got from the Wildcats in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Ridgeline avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
