Cardinal Newman is 9-1 against Analy since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cardinals will head out to square off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cardinal Newman has seven straight victories, Analy has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Cardinal Newman and Windsor have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Jaguars. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won nine matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Callie Howard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Cardinal Newman got a massive performance out of Andrea Mansbery, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles Mansbery has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Johnsen, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Cardinal Newman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windsor only posted a batting average of .231.
Encinal hit Analy with a four-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers fell just short of the Jets by a score of 8-7.
Bella Jurek was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base. Ava Hallstrom was another key player, getting a hit.
Cardinal Newman pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Analy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
Everything went Cardinal Newman's way against Analy in their previous matchup back in April, as Cardinal Newman made off with a 9-0 win. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
