The De Soto Pirates were expected to have a tough go of it on Tuesday, and that's exactly how things played out. They suffered a grim 60-33 defeat to the River Ridge Timberwolves.
The Pirates' defeat pushed them down to 13-24. River Ridge's win brought them up to 17-4.
De Soto is staying on the road Friday to face off against Weston. The Pirates are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight. River Ridge will be hunkering down at home again for their contest against Pecatonica Friday. Pecatonica took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse River Ridge's good fortune.
