Sunnyside has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Casa Grande Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Sunnyside's game was all tied up 3-3 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Cienega by a score of 12-3.
Sunnyside can attribute much of their success to Samario Garcia, who rushed for 123 yards.
Sunnyside's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Alex Yourgulez and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Casa Grande took their contest at home two weeks ago with ease, bagging a 53-21 win over Cienega. The result was nothing new for Casa Grande, who have now won five matchups by 30 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Nathan Long, who rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Santino Velazquez also helped out as he racked up 102 rushing yards.
Sunnyside now has a winning record of 4-3. Casa Grande is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
