Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lamar couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 12-7 to the Leake Academy Rebels on Tuesday. The Raiders' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Ty Wiggins was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Jackson Whitcomb was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 25-7-2. As for Leake Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

While Lamar had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
