On the hitting side, Downers Grove North's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Viktoria Czech, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Downers Grove North hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 4-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Downers Grove North's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
