The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Charlotte Christian in their matchups with Cannon: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Terence Guess, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Darryuin Sterdavent was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Charlotte Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Cannon, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charlotte Christian will take on Charlotte Latin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cannon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Providence Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence Day will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Cannon is ranked fifth).
