Calvin Hill of Live Oak Classical ran for the longest rushing play in TCAL Division I - District 2 (6 Man) this season against BVCHEA HomeSchool last week. Hill scampered for 42 yards on the play and finished with 78 on the day as his team bested the Mustangs.
Paul McCaw and Samuel Still provided fans with a highlight when they connected against BVCHEA HomeSchool. The connection went for 76 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Live Oak Classical's dynamic duo of McCaw and Still proved tough for Marvin Clement's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. McCaw threw for 126 yards and three touchdowns and Still had 91 yards receiving. Hill helped Live Oak Classical's passing attack out by catching one ball for 62 yards.
Micah Thomas made the biggest impact on defense this week as Jordan Barker's team topped the Mustangs. The 5-foot-7 junior recorded one fumble.
Mason Schieffer was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 206 yards on nine carries as Allen Academy bested BVCHEA HomeSchool. John Brien also contributed to the rushing game with 26 yards on the ground.
Live Oak Classical's McCaw and Still have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading TCAL Division I - District 2 (6 Man) in both passing and receiving yards. McCaw has thrown for 1803 yards this season, while Still, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 25 catches for 649 yards. Schieffer from the Rams leads the league in rushing with 1030 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Live Oak Classical takes on second place Allen Academy. Last week, the Falcons topped the Mustangs, while Allen Academy bested Methodist Children's Home.
Live Oak Classical's McCaw is within 197 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Jason Jolly's team.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Rams take on the Falcons. Allen Academy's offense has recorded 487 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Live Oak Classical has permitted only 196 on the year.
