After flying high against the Catholic Central Hilltoppers last Thursday, the Kenosha Christian Life Eagles came back down to earth. Kenosha Christian Life took a 65-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Salam. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Loss or not, Kenosha Christian Life got some senior leadership from William Barris II and Mason Gardner. Barris II dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds, while Gardner. scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Carroll, who scored nine points.
Kenosha Christian Life has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Salam, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kenosha Christian Life will face off against Cristo Rey St. Martin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Kenosha Christian Life is coming into the game with five straight defeats on the road, so Cristo Rey St. Martin is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Salam, they will take on St. Anthony at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salam knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 19 matchups -- so hopefully St. Anthony likes a good challenge.
