Even though the Northwest Yeshiva Lions have not done well against the Puget Sound Adventist Sharks recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Northwest Yeshiva claimed a resounding 53-11 win over Puget Sound Adventist on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Northwest Yeshiva also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Paulina Gamel was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 25 points. Another player making a difference was Jenna Kaufthal, who scored 16 points.
Northwest Yeshiva's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Puget Sound Adventist, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Northwest Yeshiva will head out on the road to face off against Crosspoint at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Crosspoint focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday. As for Puget Sound Adventist, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Muckleshoot Tribal at 5:30 p.m.
