Beacon of Hope Christian took a 94-80 bruising from Zarephath Academy on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Thursday (77), Beacon of Hope Christian still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Beacon of Hope Christian saw an underclassman step up: Trisdan Fuller scored 41 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fuller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquis Sams, who scored 20 points.
Beacon of Hope Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Zarephath Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beacon of Hope Christian will face off against Halifax Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Halifax Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Zarephath Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Trinity Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th. Trinity Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.3 points per game.
