The Lake Norman Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the East Forsyth Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Lake Norman is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Mooresville just ended the team's four-game winning streak two weeks ago. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 23-21.

Despite the loss, Lake Norman got top-tier performance from Jayden Nordtveit, who rushed for 131 yards and one score. Noah Jacobsen also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.
Lake Norman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jeremy Mitchell. Jaylen Glover was another major factor on D, making 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only East Forsyth walked away with it. They never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 63-0 victory on Friday. The game marked the Eagles' most dominant win of the season.
East Forsyth's win came from a few key players Lake Norman will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was JD Fulp, who threw for 169 yards and four touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. He is becoming a predictor of East Forsyth's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Mikah Fuller, who rushed for 103 yards and one TD on only five carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: East Forsyth was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. They are 6-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
One reason for the win was East Forsyth's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They received some extra help from Dominique Tshiboyi, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
East Forsyth is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.2 points over those games. As for Lake Norman, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Lake Norman has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 148 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like East Forsyth struggles in that department as they've been averaging 197.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
