The Pacific Grove Breakers pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Alisal. Pacific Grove lost against Alisal in their previous head to head back in February of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 63-41 score last time.
Pacific Grove lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Anthony Nimri, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Nimri continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Andrew Nimri, who scored 14 points.
Pacific Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Alisal, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Pacific Grove will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. As for Alisal, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Francis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1232nd, while Alisal is ranked 518th).
