There's no place like home for the Jacobs Golden Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They strolled past St. Charles East with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 60-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jacobs also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Treval Howard was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nolan Roper, who scored ten points.
Jacobs' victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for St. Charles East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacobs and Cary-Grove will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Cary-Grove is ranked 296th, while Jacobs is ranked 285th). As for St. Charles East, they will be playing at home against Lake Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Park will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
