Williston-Elko extended the longest winning streak in A Region IV this week by beating Blackville-Hilda, 27-12. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Blue Devils.
Wagener-Salley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the War Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Malcolm Stroman has thrown for 252 yards and two touchdowns this season, while R. J. Tyler has seven catches for 153 yards. Trey Davis leads the league in rushing with 461 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Wagener-Salley takes on the Fighting Hawks. As it stands, the War Eagles are in second, while Blackville-Hilda is in fourth.
Hunter-Kinard-Tyler made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,188 from 9,761. The improvement came about via a 48-13 victory over Fox Creek last week.
