The Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gavin Massler, who scored 12 points along with three steals. CJ Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Kent Denver's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caleb Fay led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Fay is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Kent Denver, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
