The Bennington Badgers will square off against the Roncalli Catholic Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bennington is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Bennington barely beat Burke the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Badgers never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Connor Smith made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Gabe Nickel was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Brendon Da Luz was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Bennington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Burke only posted an OBP of .143.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Roncalli Catholic faced off against Gross Catholic on Friday. The Lions fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 5-4. The Lions have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Roncalli Catholic saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Wageman, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Bennington's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Roncalli Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
Bennington got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Roncalli Catholic by a conclusive 10-2 score. Will the Badgers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
