Softball Recap: North Eugene Has No Trouble Against Eagle Point

North Eugene hadn't done well against Eagle Point recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Highlanders were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Eagles. The Highlanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by ten runs or more this season.

Ella Anderson was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden DeWitt, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

North Eugene hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive matchups.

North Eugene's victory bumped their record up to 17-14. As for Eagle Point, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

As of now, neither North Eugene nor Eagle Point have any future games scheduled.
