Rogers faced Wayzata in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Royals fell 2-0 to the Trojans. The Royals' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Rogers was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Wayzata work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-15.

Rogers' offense was headlined by Kinnley Colligan and Kendyl Dawson, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Emily Hoyt and her 12 assists.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Wayzata, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Rogers didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against St. Michael-Albertville on the 11th. As for Wayzata, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against River Falls on the 11th.
