On Tuesday, Wiregrass came up short against the Flyers and fell 59-48. While losing is never fun, Wiregrass can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 264th in Alabama, while the Flyers are ranked 93rd in Mississippi).
When it comes to explaining why Wiregrass lost, one person who can't be blamed is Christian Miller. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Treadaway, who scored ten points.
Wiregrass' defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Grace Baptist Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Wiregrass will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Tuscaloosa Home Educators is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Grace Baptist Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Stingrays at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
