Baseball Recap: Overton Has No Trouble Against Sheffield

Overton had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Sheffield on Tuesday. The Overton Wolverines blew past the Sheffield Knights 18-3. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Nehemiah Diggs made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Diggs was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other pitching news, Aiden Dillard looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Marquel Brooks, who scored three runs and stole Five bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Sammy Kehrli was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
