Victoria East is 8-2 against Corpus Christi Moody since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Victoria East Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Victoria East will be strutting in after a win while Corpus Christi Moody will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Victoria East didn't have too much trouble with Carroll on the road as they won 62-44. Given Victoria East's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while Carroll is ranked 905th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Victoria East got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kk Cleveland out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. Cleveland hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Corpus Christi Moody came up short against Miller on Friday and fell 42-30.
Their wins bumped Victoria East to 12-6 and Carroll to 5-11.
