Warsaw hasn't had much luck against Mishawaka recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Tigers will face off against the Cavemen at 5:30 p.m. Mishawaka took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Warsaw, who comes in off a win.
Warsaw will bounce into Monday's game after beating Huntington North, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers blew past the Vikings 13-3 on Saturday. Surprisingly, this marked the Tigers' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Addison Eastwood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Warsaw let Addyson Sainer and Mia Rodriguez run wild. Sainer went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Ayla Hatfield also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, Mishawaka suffered their biggest loss since April 16th on Saturday. They came up short against Western, falling 16-1. The Cavemen's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Holly Shine was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
Warsaw's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Mishawaka, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Warsaw hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Mishawaka struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Warsaw suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Mishawaka in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
