Make it eight blowout wins for the Mexia Black Cats this season. They were the clear victor by a 48-27 margin over Teague. The victory was just what Mexia needed coming off of a 59-31 loss in their prior matchup.
Despite the loss, Teague still got an impressive performance from Bethanah Owens, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. Owens has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 14 times she's played.
Mexia pushed their record up to 13-13 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Teague, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-15 record this season.
Mexia will head out on the road to challenge the Bison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buffalo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Teague, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Elks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
