The Towanda Black Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-46 to Mansfield, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Towanda has not had much luck with Mansfield recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
It was another big night for Karson Dominick, who scored 30 points along with five steals for Mansfield. Dominick is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Harer, who scored 13 points along with four steals and two blocks.
Towanda has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Mansfield, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Towanda will square off against Wellsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wellsboro will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. As for Mansfield, they will head out on the road to take on Northwest Area at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Northwest Area is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 12 games.
