The Gilead Christian Eagles won the last time they faced Varsity Opponent, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Gilead Christian put the hurt on Varsity Opponent with a sharp 46-21 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Gilead Christian.
Gilead Christian can attribute much of their success to Talan Blankenship, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Bertram, who scored 6 points.
Gilead Christian pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.33 points. As for Varsity Opponent, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which is still a better percentage than their 101-382-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilead Christian will challenge Faith Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Varsity Opponent will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against North Baltimore at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
