The Kimball Jaguars will square off against the Lodi Flames at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kimball comes in on six and Lodi on three.
On Thursday, Kimball got the win against West by a conclusive 13-6. Considering the Jaguars have won 13 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Emma Coronado was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Saige Dodds, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kimball kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lodi got themselves on the board against Lincoln on Friday, but Lincoln never followed suit. They skirted past the Trojans 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Flames have posted against the Trojans since March 19, 2024.
The result came thanks to Harlow Padilla's shutout, as she gave up just seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ellie Schallberger, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
Kimball's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Lodi, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8-1.
Everything went Kimball's way against Lodi in their previous meeting back in April, as Kimball made off with a 13-6 win. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Flames turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
