The Ferris Yellowjackets lost against the Alvarado Indians back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Ferris suffered a rough 49-29 defeat at the hands of Alvarado. Ferris has not had much luck with Alvarado recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Alvarado was led to victory by Candra Bridgewater and Joslyn Jarmon. Bridgewater scored 20 points along with six rebounds, while Jarmon scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. The game was Bridgewater's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Melson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Ferris has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Alvarado, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.
Ferris will be home for the holidays to greet Life Waxahachie at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Life Waxahachie is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
