5A District 10 recap September 4, 2013
Tenoroc lost to Liberty 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nico Gallon caught 5 passes for 79 yards in the loss.
Poinciana made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,428 from 10,217. The improvement came about via a 6-0 victory over the Eagles last week.
Tenoroc's dynamic duo of Dylan Wright-Sirmon and Gallon proved tough for the Chargers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Brendan Terkay helped Tenoroc's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 21 yards.
Micheal Burns' team's dynamic duo of Wright-Sirmon and Gallon proved to be unstoppable against Liberty, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Gallon was the best wideout in 5A District 10 this week as the Titans lost to David Benson's team.
Railond Garrett provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Lake Wales lost to Ridge. He completed 6 passes for 75 yards and also ran for 39 yards. Garrett's favorite target this week was Davi'on Riley, who caught 3 passes for 57 yards.
Wright-Sirmon put up the best numbers through the air as Tenoroc lost to the Chargers. He finished with 7 completions for 90 yards.
Justin Henderson was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 88 yards as the Highlanders fell to Liberty. Teammate Earnest Hamilton added to the ground attack by rushing for 59 yards.
Lake Wales fell 14-13 to the Bolts in the closest game of the week. Henderson was a bright spot for Rod Shafer's team, as he in the defeat.
