Altamont waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Tintic Miners as they made off with an 18-2 win. Considering the Longhorns have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Keaton Huff made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in August. He was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, four runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Briggs Wall was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Harrison Lounsbury, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Altamont's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Tintic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Altamont will face off against Wendover at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18 runs per game on average), something the Longhorns will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tintic, they will challenge Green River at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.08 runs per game on average), something the Miners will no doubt try to take advantage of.
