Baseball Recap: Seymour Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Seymour waltzed into their match on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the Shawano Community Hawks 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kobe Barth looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Micah Byers was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Another player making a difference was Brandon Poch, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Seymour pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Shawano Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
