The Bonanza Bengals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 53-28 walloping at the hands of Cheyenne.
Cheyenne can attribute much of their success to Nita Franklin, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The match was Franklin's third in a row with at least ten points. Ananda Jackson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals.
Bonanza's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cheyenne, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bonanza will challenge Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Valley will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Cheyenne, they will head out on the road to face off against Amplus Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Amplus Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
