The Perry Yellowjackets will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Mount Morris Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. Perry will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
Last Tuesday, Perry lost to Livonia on the road by a decisive 64-45 margin. Perry has struggled against Livonia recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Mount Morris' game on Tuesday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They managed a 59-54 victory over Haverling. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mount Morris.
Mount Morris' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryson Constantino, who scored 17 points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Constantino posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Hightower, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and six assists.
Perry's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Mount Morris, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Perry came up short against Mount Morris when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 52-42. Thankfully for Perry, Payton Bownds (who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
