Maiden waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Newton-Conover Red Devils 16-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-5 on Tuesday.
Raegan Rembert made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Savannah Tahsler was excellent, going 1-for-2 with four RBI and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sydney Sigmon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.
Maiden always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .739. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Maiden's record is now 10-8. As for Newton-Conover, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-16.
