SANTA ROSA, Calif. - the Jaguars had a big 28-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 38-7 victory over Montgomery (Santa Rosa, Calif.).
Windsor scored on a
Derek Hensley touchdown run, a touchdown catch by
Matt Basich, a touchdown catch by Basich and a touchdown catch by
Trey Tobon in the quarter.
WHS was up 28-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Hensley touchdown run in the second quarter.
The Jaguars expanded their lead to 38 points entering the fourth quarter. Windsor scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown catch by
Michael Gower.
Basich played well for WHS in the victory. He caught two touchdowns.
The Vikings' lone touchdown came on a 14-yard pass in the fourth quarter.
The Jaguars had struggled this season, allowing 30.6 points per game.
Windsor also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 42-0.
The win was a nice bounce back for WHS, which lost to Casa Grande last week, 38-13. The defeat comes as a step back for Montgomery, which notched a 23-22 victory over Maria Carrillo in its previous outing.
