On Saturday Island Trees take on Great Neck North/Great Neck South at Pink Out / Senior Game at 6:30 PM. The teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.
We expected Island Trees to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Clarke last Saturday, and they did. Island Trees suffered a grim 27-48 defeat to Clarke. Island Trees got a solid performance out of senior Ryan Costanza, who passed for 253 yards and 3 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, Great Neck North/Great Neck South have to be aching after a bruising 8-35 loss to Oyster Bay/Jericho.
