Monroe Area's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Darrion Manuel, who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Manuel was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Jitt Carr also helped out as he racked up 110 rushing yards.
Monroe Area's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Carver, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Monroe Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carver will square off against Savannah Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Savannah Christian: 16.5, Carver: 11.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
