The Dadeville Bearcats can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 43-36 win over Bronaugh. Dadeville's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the loss, Bronaugh still got an impressive performance from Gretchen Banes, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Banes has scored all season.
Dadeville's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-10. As for Bronaugh, their defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-10.
Dadeville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Northeast Vernon County at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. As for Bronaugh, they will face off against St. Mary's-Colgan at TBD on Tuesday. St. Mary's-Colgan will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
