The Loudon Redskins will head out on the road to take on the Tellico Plains Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Loudon has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while the Bears will arrive with three straight victories.
Last Friday, Loudon suffered a tough 65-45 loss at the hands of the Cherokees.
Even though Tellico Plains has not done well against the Wildcats recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Tellico Plains secured a 71-67 W over the Wildcats. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Loudon dropped their record down to 8-11 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Tellico Plains, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Loudon beat the Bears 76-66 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Loudon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
