Freedom is 0-10 against the Sharks since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The two teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Freedom had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against Potomac Senior by a score of 52-44.
Freedom can attribute much of their success to Savannah Price, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds, and Keilani Johnson, who scored nine points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Kenneah DeGuzman was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Charles J. Colgan was able to grind out a solid victory over the Vikings on Wednesday, taking the game 60-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Charles J. Colgan.
Freedom has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Charles J. Colgan, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
