Walter Johnson scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They had just enough and edged Clarksburg out 63-60. With that victory, Walter Johnson brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.
Walter Johnson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Norah Youssef, who scored 22 points along with five assists. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Alexander, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Bethesda-Chevy Chase put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Richard Montgomery by a score of 55-47.
Bethesda-Chevy Chase's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elisha Robinson, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Robinson continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Riley Petersen, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Walter Johnson and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Walter Johnson hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 51.2 points per game. It's a different story for Bethesda-Chevy Chase, though, as they've been averaging only 56.5 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
